Description
Pseudotropheus demasoni is a mbuna cichlid from Lake Malawi in eastern Africa. Our strain is from a commercial source. We acquired the strain in 2003. Males often reach 10cm (4 in.). Females are somewhat smaller. This is one of the smaller mbuna cichlids. Both sexes have bright blue bodies with several broad, vertical black bars. Males are colored a bit brighter than the females and juveniles. This fish hails from Lake Malawi in eastern Africa.
