Description
Metriaclima greshakei ‘Cobalt Redtop Zebra’ is a cichlid from Lake Malawi in eastern Africa. This fish is also known as Pseudotropheus zebra and Redtop Cobalt Zebra. The nomenclature of Pseudotropheus seems to be in a state of permanent uproar. For the time being, Metriaclima seems to be the consensus proper genus name. We acquired this strain from a commercial source in 2003. Males often reach 15cm (6 in.). Females are somewhat smaller. Males have light blue bodies and reddish orange fins. Females tend to be a muddy brown color. This fish hails from Lake Malawi in eastern Africa.
