Our juvenile African cichlids are:

one to three months old
one to two and a half inches long,
not sexable.

As with many cichlids, juveniles resemble adult females in coloration. At three to four inches, depending on the species, the young males will begin to show some adult male coloration. In many species and varieties males don’t fully color up until they are five inches long.
